Critic Review: "
This pinot has a lot of bright cherry flavor to it, also some plum, and I also detected strawberry. With a good hint of smokiness in the wine also. After it was exposed to air for awhile, I tasted and sniffed what I thought were some notes of blackberry as well." - Sipping Sentiments - A Wino's Blog

Wine Folly: Wine Folly indicates flavors of cherry, allspice, rasberry, darjeeling tea, and vanilla in California Pinot Noir. I honestly have no clue what darjeeling tea is, but I definitely tasted strong cherry and allspice flavors upon my first sip of this wine. The wine was also semi-dry and had a medium body, as expected after reading Wine Folly.

My Review: This is the first Pinot Noir I have ever drank, so I cannot really compare it to other wines of this variety. I enjoyed the fruity flavors of this wine and the hint of spice that came with it. I paired this wine with steak hibachi and I honestly thought they were a good match. The dryness of the wine balanced out the heavy meat flavor of the steak. I think Burlwood's Pinot Noir is worth purchasing at its low price of $4.99.
